Parent Survey Results At the spring Court of Honor, David Eisenlohr presented the results of the parent survey. His information is very important for the troop committee to gain a better insight into the operation of the troop and areas that need attention. To view the details of the survey, click here. The registration process for the 2011 World Jamboree in Sweden has opened. You can sign up through your www.myscouting.org account. It is located under events and just click on World Jamboree!! Our own Mr. Holmes is serving as the Southern Region contingent chairman. Forty Scouts from around the region have already registered. Youth Leadership Training - There is only one Circle 10 Council course remaining for 2009 for this terrific training opportunity. These courses are design for youth leadership experiences. The course has been designed around the adult level training called Wood Badge. These courses are vary popular and usually fill up early. You can sign up online. is an intense, 5 day, outdoor leadership training experience
for youth troop leaders. The course goal is prepare
young men to become superior leaders in their troop,
their district and other organizations they belong to
now and in the future. Participants
learn to use current corporate leadership skills
within the framework of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
BSA National carefully developed the NYLT curriculum
with input from current corporate trainers, the United
States Air Force Academy and others in the training
community. When regional pilot courses of NYLT
were completed, Wood Badge for the 21st Century
(leadership training for adults), was aligned to the
NYLT Course Syllabus. Graduates of this program become
Senior Patrol Leaders in their troop as well as leaders
in their Districts, Schools, Churches, and Communities.
The course is led and taught by some of the best youth leaders in the Council;
all of whom are graduates of
the NYLT program and typically have staffed
multiple courses. The adult advisors who assist the Youth Staff are Wood Badge-trained with extensive experience
in training programs.

Wisdom Seventy Inc. Announces sponsorships to NAYLT. Seventy, Inc., a 501c(3) organization, has announced that it will sponsor any Troop 70 Scout to attend NAYLT at Philmont Scout Ranch. The only prerequisite is that the Scout must have completed the local NYLT training and meet the NAYLE qualifications.
