Troop 70 Canoeing Guide

Troop 70 is excited to be on the water several times this year. This will culminate in a fantastic, memorable trip to Swamp Base in 2021. For us to have the maximum, safe fun at Swamp Base we will need to do our best to Be Prepared.

Two things we will need to work on are our canoeing skills and our water safety. Several of these skills are part of our Trail to First Class program as well.

All these skills are important for anyone considering a trip to Northern Tier in Ely, Minnesota.

Canoeing Basics

Next we need to know what to do with the canoe and paddle. These videos are longer, but are worth watching. They compress years of canoeing experience into watchable videos.
