Camp Constantin 2022
Troop 70 annually attends summer camp at Camp Constantin on Possum Kingdom Lake, in Graford, TX. This coming year, summer camp is from June 5 – June 11. Camp Constantin’s summer camp programs include one of Scouting's largest waterfront areas with sailboats, waterskiing, canoeing, swimming, motor boating, snorkeling and blobbing.
Troop 70 has been going to Camp Constantin as far back as anyone can remember. Our traditional campsite is at Possum Hollow, located on a breezy peninsula jutting into the lake. Attendance at the camp provides the scouts opportunities for leadership and advancement as well as summer fun. First year scouts will benefit greatly from the work they put into the merit badges at summer camp.
Merit Badges
Merit Badge offerings are listed in the Camp Constantin Program Guide. "Eagle's Landing" is where our older Scouts are offered Citizenship in the Nation; Citizenship in the World; Communications; Personal Fitness; and Personal Management as well as Camping and Cooking as well as Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, and Hiking.
Packing List
Properly packing for camp will make your stay even better, and in the current situation, safer.
Please review the official packing list. Consider bringing a fan, and the recommended additions listed. Consider leaving all electronics at home. They will be kept by one of the adult leaders at camp anyway.
Health Forms
The complete health form, parts A, B, & C are required for camp. Part C must be completed by a physician. Be prepared and take it to your next wellness checkup with the doctor for completion.
